Is this US EN by any chance? If so, I believe 'lift' in this sense = 'pick-up', in other words, a collection.
Would that make sense in your wider context? 'Distribution' seems to suggest something to do with shipping and transport...?

Well, unless it is soemthing to do with lifting, like crane hire etc.? But that doesn't seem to fit with 'Distribution'. Perhaps soemthing in your wider context would help rule out (or not) this possibility?
