Danish term

meddigtende

Danish to English Social Sciences Education / Pedagogy
"Eleverne kan også skrive en meddigtende, historisk fortælling ud fra et selvvalgt perspektiv ved at inddrage udvalgte nedslag."

I found some indications this is derived from so-called "reader-response" methods of teaching, but I haven't been able to nail down the English term yet. I really need to hear from someone familiar with such methods, as the source is obviously directed at teachers.

Thanks, I've considered something along these lines. I'm hoping there's some pedagogical term that will avoid wordiness (but perhaps not abstruseness …)
