Dutch term

Blokvormige handelsproducten

Dutch to English Bus/Financial Energy / Power Generation
I am working on a text where they mention "blokvormige handelsproducten" of which the volume can be fixed or unfixed.

I am unsure how to write this in English and which term I should be using "block" or "tranche".

Marijke Please could you provide the sentence containing this phrase, plus the sentences before and after it. Thanks.

@Nicole

Thank you very much for your reply. No it's about commodities like power and gas. In the link I posted, they refer to "Gas prices - jaarblokken" and I am unsure what this is called in English. I have found references to both block trade and tranches, but am not 100% as to which one I should be using.

@ Marijke I take it you mean physical goods here? Then block shaped should work just fine.

Here is an example, where they mention gas prices in "jaarblokken":

"Your gas can be split into different tariff blocks, with each block charged at a different rate. The first block—for example 0 to 1 megajoules (MJ) of gas is charged at one rate. The second block—for example, 1 to 2 megajoules (MJ) has a different rate. Any energy you use above the second block is charged at a third block price and so on."
