prison slang
I am looking for a British equivalent of a phrase that in Polish prison slang (grypsera) describes someone who does not belong to the prison subculture - is not a victim or a member of the lowest caste but an average, not respected inmate, often with a short 'insignificant' sentence or a first time convict.

------------
Chump is a synonym of sucker.
As nouns the difference between chump and sucker is that chump is (colloquial|pejorative) an incompetent person, a blockhead; a loser while sucker is a person or thing that sucks or sucker can be one who is easily fooled, or gulled - http://wikidiff.com/sucker/chump

Note from asker:
Hmm, te terminy raczej dotyczą świeżego więźnia, który owszem z racji faktu, że dopiero trafił do więzienia jest frajerem, bo ani nie wspiął się wyżej, ani nie stał się cwelem, ale frajerem można pozostać na cały okres odsiadki. I trudno wówczas mówić, że taki ktoś jest nadal 'fresh meat' czy 'new fish'. |
