Taña Dalglish Oct 9, 2015:
@ Helena Why not repost? You were first in suggesting "high floor", albeit the fact that it was an amended answer. I certainly understood your answer and you were referring to "high floor"! I said this much to Charles, although when I posted, I did not see you. Regards. Taña
Helena Chavarria Oct 9, 2015:
I'm removing my answer because I don't like writing an answer in the answer box that is obviously wrong. It's my fault for posting before I had properly checked the term. My apologies to everyone.

@ Matt https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-floor
**High-floor** is an expression used to distinguish tram, light rail and other rail vehicles, along with buses and trolleybuses, built to formerly conventional design, from their counterparts of low-floor design.

http://www.revolvy.com/main/index.php?s=Volvo B5RLEH&uid=157... First announced in August 2012, the Volvo B5RLEH, also known as Volvo B5RH and Volvo B215RH, is a hybrid electric bus chassis manufactured by Volvo since 2013, initially only available in the Asia-Pacific region.

There is also a B215RH model for Latin America, manufactured by Volvo in Brazil, available as both low and **high floor** chassis.

Ok, I've looked at the high floor links now, and I think this is along the right lines. I will have to check with the client though, I think. High-deck also turns up a lot of results.
matt robinson (asker) Oct 9, 2015:
The XXX is the model of the bus. Lets say Streetrover, for example. So
una unidad de Streetrover carrozada en piso alto... The bus comes in various versions, I suppose.
The entire paragraph reads

"Companía X" exhibe en el marco de la feria belga una unidad del "Streetrover" carrozada en piso alto con propulsión de Gas Natural Comprimido, pionera en Europa

I know deck, upper deck, lower deck is used in British English. Could it be something like " exhibited an upper deck version of the Streetrover..."? I have never heard floor used in the context of buses.
Helena Chavarria Oct 8, 2015:
@David The question is confusing. It seems as if a unit of something is made on the top floor/deck. It wasn't until I read it again that I realised that 'en piso alto' describes the unit of whatever the exes stand for.
Helena Chavarria Oct 8, 2015:
It would be lovely if there was a feature that enabled us to edit our answers!
Helena Chavarria Oct 8, 2015:
@Matt I'm afraid the XXXs confused me.

Thanks Charles, and yes, you are perfectly correct, Helena did suggest the term first, but I honestly did not see her posting until after I had posted. I will leave merely as a reference. Thanks again.
