I know, "person on sick leave" or "person granted sick leave" etc.
anyway to day that as a simple noun?
I got the word in every sentence, and it looks kinda silly!

In HR in the UK, we talk about 'signed off' as being signed off sick by a doctor

sick leave
or "on sick leave" in the US
Example sentence:
I was put on sick leave by the doctor.
Discussion
I chose "absent employee" which is standare terminology in EU.
sick leave would be "sykmelding", not "symeldte".
"signed-off" is equally an adjective, while I needed a substantive. thanks all
