smile though your heart is aching/smile through adversity/keep a stiff upper lip/

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2XyrqV9ldo

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, you'll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through for you

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile, if you just smile

That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?

Alternative suggestions for Mr. Oleg Lozinskiy:

earn to maintain composure despite internal turmoil
keep on an even keel among turbulent seas

learn not to let your pain show
learn to put on a happy face even though the soul is troubled

Thank you, Jack.
neutral Oleg Lozinskiy : Not sure whether great Nat King Cole's lyrics might be used for translation of a piece of Russian folklore (widely attributed to Sergey Aleksandrovich Yesenin).|I like the first of the alternative options - it's more rhymed and fitting the context, imho.

Thank you, Oleg. It is like ice cream: some prefer strawberry, others vanilla. I was trying to reflect the overall mood of the phrase. Lastly, I tried to provide choices that an Anglo-Saxon might identify with. See alternative suggestions, just for you.
