Spanish term

Operatoria I

Spanish to English Social Sciences Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs Certificado Analítico
Good afternoon, colleagues.

I'm translating a transcript of a doctorate in dental surgery and one of the subjects is "Operatoria I". I'm not sure whether to use "Surgery I" since there is another subject called "Cirugía oral", and I don't think they'll just see general surgery in this type of doctorate.

Thanks in advance,
Laura

@Taña Operative dentistry seems to be the right answer:
Operative Dentistry is one of the branches of dentistry that deals with the art and science of the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and prognosis of diseases or trauma to teeth. Operative Dentistry is indicated primarily for dental caries, malformed, discolored or fractured teeth and replacement or repair of existing restorations. Treatment should restore proper tooth morphology, function, esthetics and harmonious relationship with the surrounding tissues

@ L Ramos There is also another entry, while classified under "Law" may be relevant, and only your context will tell for sure ("I don't think they'll just see general surgery in this doctorate, with "I don't think" being the operative words).

Operative Dentistry
Operative dentistry Operative dentistry is the area of dentistry that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases or trauma to teeth. Treatment focuses primarily on restoring teeth from dental caries (tooth decay), trauma, and tooth wear. Typically treatment involves intra-coronal restorations (fillings) and results in the restoration of proper form, function, and esthetics while maintaining the physiological integrity of the teeth in harmonious relationship with the adjacent hard and soft tissues.
