German term

Montageverbindung

German to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering Newbuild construction
In the construction of a skywalk made of concrete segments, an image caption (no image supplied) reads:
"Montageverbindung der Segmente"
Is Montageverbindung a concept in itself or does this simply describe the connection of the segments that takes place during installation (in a snappier way..)?
Thanks!

assembly tack weld is self-evident, I think.

More from source? Does the source provide any other suggestion of a temporary connection?
