@mopc Is there mention of 'Flachspüler' in your text? Do you need to differentiate between the two?

siphonic WC pan

In wash down toilets, waste is simply “pushed” by free flowing water out of the trapway (usually 4” in diameter). The siphonic method on the other hand, employs a smaller outlet (usually 2” diameter) to slightly trap the flush water until it is filled enough for a siphonic action to pull the contents of the bowl out.

floor-standing WC pan, or floor-standing wash down combinations

I ´d say

but it is not necessarily Floor-STANDING, it may be installed also on the wall (hanging, without reaching to the Floor). Thus either Floor-standing or wall-hanging wash down wc as opposed to "Flachspüler"

in the present case, a "wall-mounted" wash down wc is meant, not a Floor-standing wc .

pls.let me correct my remark as to the Flachspüler: the term "wash down" is not admissible for it ! It´s the main characteristic of Tiefspüler. To differentiate between the two type:
In a Tiefspüler (washdown wc) excretions fall directly into the water; whereas in a Flachspüler feces fall on a kind of stage, called little chair and are transported only by pressing the flush drains.

Reading this reference will not only explain what the difference between a 'Tiefspüler' and the ominous German 'Flachspüler', it is also quite entertaining. Unfortunately it doesn't give any suggestions as to what to call it in English.
