: It doesn't mean that the engine itself would be capable of rotating, but that you will be able to make it turn. Note transitive verb 'to turn it over'

démarré
Plutôt :
'since engine can be turned over' = 'bien qu'il puisse être démarré'

J'amende ma réponse, 'démarré' ne fonctionne que dans l'optique où tu parles du processus dans la machine, par exemple si une partie du processus fonctionne (starter...) et pas l'autre (injection...).
Dans ce cas, 'démarré' est utile en synonyme de 'tourné'.
Si on parle par contre du mouvement physique de la machine/moteur, tu ne peux pas utiliser 'tourné' dans cette tournure de phrase.
Donc soit 'bougé' soit 'retourné'.

: 'démarrer' means 'to start', and the text specifically states that the engine won't start.

vrai, erreur de ma part de ce côté là je pensais dans l'optique synonyme de 'faire tourner une machine'. Mais si on reste vraiment dans le côté physique de mouvement c'est 'retourné' qu'il faut mettre, mettre 'tourné' porte beaucoup trop à confusion.
