Lease contract
Hi, I'm struggling with "girar" in this sentence. It's a lease agreement for commercial premises. The sentence is:
My attempt:
"For payment of the rent, the owner shall "charge" the timely receipts to the current account XXX, and failing that, at the address of the lessor or his property manager.
The second part of the sentence also seems strange...
Thanks!

: girar recibo = send the receipts/bills/etc. Notice the entire sentence and context: it talks about “account No. OR lessor's address.”

: Sorry, I just re-read the Spanish. I think it's oddly worded, the other way round...

Assuming 'propiedad' is incorrect and should be 'propietario' or 'arrendatario' this is the only reading that makes sense.

Yes, I think so - I can't see how you can read it any other way.

Note from asker:
Great, so does the bank account number belong to the lessor/owner? Therefore, "rent shall be paid to the bank account XXX or at the address of the lessor...." |

: I think "La propiedad" is a metonymy. Rent to be paid via bank or to the owner or his/her minions.

A "recibo" should be a "receipt" but it's actually a bill 99% of the time.
