"Traces" are the components that transfer the pulling force. The shaft/pole only determines the travel direction.
Very often people are playing Schnapsen using a mixture of the soft and sharp Schnapsen rules - because of this we show a recap of the main soft Schnapsen ...

I wonder how the artist was able to guess the game name. ;-)

Na imię mam Andrzej, nie Pan Andrzej.

Rzeczywiście przy bliższym spojrzeniu, dyszla brak!! Może zapomnieli chłopaki z tego excitementu karcianego?
The only problem is that I can't see any dyszel (EN drawbar) at the cart in this picture. There should be one between the horses. Maybe, the artist was short of time. :-)
Typical Polish horse carts with a single drawbar look like this: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~pollubel/rural/cart.htm - as you can see, the drawbar protrudes by a half of metre or so in front of the horse's head. Hard to overlook.
The word "dyszel" evolved from German "Deichsel".
I dont't play cards, so no comments on "mariasz".
