Not sure what the second half of the sentence means, particularly "repetición".

What I think it means is that if indemnities are paid, it does not mean that the party paying them is admitting any guilt or waiving the right to recover the amounts against whoever should ultimate foot the bill for those indemnities.

A cross claim is filed against someone who is a co-defendant or co-plaintiff to the party who originates the crossclaim.
