All non-custodial measures in Central and West Asia are provided for in law. The legal system in Central Asian countries of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan is based on the civil law tradition, meaning that all laws are codified by the legislature. The legal system in Pakistan is based on English Common Law, with provision to accommodate its status as an Islamic state. Pakistan also incorporates Islamic Law by establishing Federal Shariat Court, which reviews specific cases.
