French term

rembourser avec anticipation

French to English Bus/Financial Accounting consolidated financial reports
Hello,
I am not sure how to say "rembourser" in this context. I have seen "redeem" but not sure if that's correct.
Thanks in advance.

Le Groupe a réalisé en mai 2017 une nouvelle émission obligataire de 500 M€ à échéance 2024 permettant de rembourser avec anticipation les souches à maturité 2020 de 300 M€ et financer la croissance du Groupe.

Here's another example:

En 2017, le Groupe a remboursé l'émission obligaire de 2013 ainsi que le TAP de 2016, en excerçant son call premium, par l'émission d'une nouvelle souche obligataire de 500 M€ à échéance 2024

http://www.btb.termiumplus.gc.ca/tpv2alpha/alpha-f Have you looked here? If you type 'remboursement anticipé' you find lots of different options specific to different contexts. Hope that helps.

Thanks to all for your replies. "Repayment" and "reimbursement" are everyday translations of "rembourser". I am looking for a what one would say in financial reports, specifically for bonds. As I said in my question, I have seen "redeem", which would validate Marco's suggestion of "early redemption"... but I would love to have confirmation from other financial specialists as well.

"...allowing the early redemption..."

Note from asker:
Daryo, apparently both the issuer and holder can initiate redemption. https://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/050615/under-what-circumstances-might-issuer-redeem-callable-bond.asp
I have also seen "repurchase".

neutral Daryo : "early redemption" would be what's hapening from the viewpoint of the bond holder - not sure that the company that issued the bonds would be "redeeming" them ...

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "This is what I went with in the end. Would have preferred a verb instead of noun but this seemed safer. Thank you!"
