German term

Patronalstiftung

German to English Bus/Financial Law (general) Business structure
I have come across this in a CV I am currently translating and can't find anywhere what its equivalent is in English. Can anyone help me with the English translation?

Many thanks in advance.

Unfortunately I think in the context it does need to be translated. But the comments that have come back are more or less what I was thinking, so that's reassuring!

This gets very few hits, and they're all Swiss, many relating to Siemens.

This is probably a company's charitable trust, perhaps to benefit employees. But are you sure it needs to be translated? If it's the name of an employer it should be left in German, perhaps with a few words of explanation.

collective foundation

See the two links below and Google for "patronale Stiftung". This will lead you to the "collective foundation".

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Many thanks for hunting out this term for me. I have gone with this neat suggestion."

patronal trust/foundation

in German it would be "schirmherrschaftliche Stiftung", especially used in ecclesiastical texts. Perhaps you could say "Patronage-inspired/based trust"
