Discussion

Andrzej Mierzejewski Jan 15, 2019:
OK.
:-)
Jerry Dean (asker) Jan 15, 2019:
@ Andrzej - I decided to go with my initial thought - lever
Andrzej Mierzejewski Jan 15, 2019:
@Jerry I can't give more assistance or help. May I know what your decision was? Just for my curiosity. :-)
Andrzej Mierzejewski Jan 11, 2019:
Back to the topic: the only wristwatch that I know of with a sliding crown protection: https://www.professionalwatches.com/the-edox-master-lock-hyd... . The yellow "curved box" slides upwards (around the case) to give access to the crown. IMO this is not the case from Jerry's question.
Jerry Dean (asker) Jan 11, 2019:
watch lace - hm... it would fit in with woman's lingerie :)
Andrzej Mierzejewski Jan 11, 2019:
Off topic: Mr Google Tłumacz prezentuje taką oto "poezję translatorską":
koronka zegarka = watch lace; Uhr Spitze.

;-)))))

A poważnie na wszelki wypadek: sugeruję nie stosować tych bzdur.
Andrzej Mierzejewski Jan 11, 2019:
Brand and model? If no information, I suggest to ask the autor for a more precise description, a sketch etc.

The "szabelka" location: poniżej koronki = below/under the crown is intriguing. That's not a standard solution. I know several crown protection options but all are located above and around the crown.
Jerry Dean (asker) Jan 11, 2019:
sorry, no photo, but I had thought using the word 'lever' as nothing else comes to mind
Andrzej Mierzejewski Jan 11, 2019:
Geopiet is right, a picture is necessary. The description is not clear. In a watch, no difference whether pocket or wrist, I'd expect a lever (rotating on an axis), not a slider.

Geopiet, all thumbs up for your find with these "szabelkas". :-)))

jakaś blokada tej koronki? Jerry, got any pics of it?

What kind a watch is it? modern, or something much older...?
