Italian term

Regolamento costitutivo

Italian to English Medical Medical: Pharmaceuticals
Can you help me with the name of this. I found "Rules of Association" and "Bylaws". Which is the difference?

Discussion

Sabina Moscatelli Aug 9, 2019:

Proposed translations

constitutive regulation

it would be more a regulation than a rule in my opinion.

corporate governance (rules)

"Corporate governance is the system of rules, practices, and processes by which a firm is directed and controlled."

Reference:

Regolamento costitutivo comitato etico Sapienza

A cursory search of the term + category turns up references to [clinical trial/research] ethics committees. Perhaps Beatrice could confirm whether or not the term refers to this general context?

Second link of possible interest: "Are the Italian ethics committees ready for Europe?"

Third, Bambin Gesu uses "regulations" but it's defined as internal and not costitutivo.

Note from asker:
Thanks a lot Kimberley. Your refs were quite useful, but asking the client they suggested Bylaws. Thanks again. Beatrice
