¿Alguna idea?
Gracias de antemano.

I couldn't find a definition and there aren't too many examples, but I'd suggest that you stick with the original unless someone comes up with a more informed answer.

Note from asker:
I've found the same sources. Actually, this link http://careedi.blogspot.com/2008/ has a definition of SUPERIOR PARASITES [Organisms with one (Plasmodium Falciparum) or many cells (worms). They cannot live without the help of a host.] But, since I haven't found any definition in Spanish, I'm not sure that's the most accurate translation. I'll follow your advice if nothing else comes up. Thanks a lot! Hugs! |

Note from asker:
Hi! Thanks for your answer. Interesting articles! I still cannot connect the dots here. How do you match both expressions ("parásitos superiores" and "macroparásitos")? I've been reading those links and there are definitions for macroparasites, but how do you know they are the same as "parásitos superiores"? [...] ))) ((( [https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S221322441830021X] → no definitions here. ))) ((( [https://parasiteecology.wordpress.com/2013/04/19/microparasite-vs-macroparasite/#targetText=Macroparasite%20Infections%20and%20Macroparasite%20Examples,they%20are%20accumulated%20relatively%20slowly] → [...] The main distinction between microparasites and macroparasites is whether they “multiply” within their definitive host or not. Microparasites do “multiply” in their definitive host, and macroparasites do not “multiply” in their definitive host. This distinction is important because it influences the ecology and epidemiology of micro and macroparasitic infections. [...] Microparasites are tiny! [...] Macroparasites are bigger, [...] ))) Could you please explain? Thanks in advance! |

I am simply suggesting this as an option, as the asker doesn't appear to be keen on the suggestion I've agreed with above (macroparasites).
Example sentence:
Costs of major parasites to the Australian livestock industries....
Principles of natural control of major parasites affecting humans, animals, and...
Reference:
Something went wrong...
