I find "payment slip" as a translation for Zahlschein, but I have no idea what that means, or how people would donate to a cause via "payment slips."

Thanks to Chris for the reference, but I don't agree with his translation.
These pieces of paper are called deposit slips, and also known as paying-in slips in my native UK. The charity sends them out to its supporters, preprinted with its bank details. The supporters fill in their details, and take the cash and the deposit slip to the bank. The bank transfers the donation to the charity.
They're a bit oldfashioned now, but a lot of charity supporters are older people who want nothing to do with online banking.

: Yes. I use them. There is a dispenser at most bank branches (near the ATMs/cashpoint machines) and Barclays calls them "paying-in slips."

Einzugsspenden = Dauerspenden in this context, I think. Maybe you could say direct debit and direct deposit donations, but that's just an idea which may not work.
Somehow, I'd prefer donations, contributions, sponsorships or transfers to a list of people, e.g., sponsors, donors, contributors.
