For a tourism website see below thanks

Anche qui, come in molte altre parti della XXX (province), il mare vicino a riva è di un colore turchese cristallino che sfiora il limite della totale trasparenza e si trasforma in un blu sempre più intenso mano a mano che si allontana dalla riva.

Discussion

Cedric Randolph Mar 23, 2020:
I suggest you try not to be too literal It is my opinion that if you try to be too literal in translating these types of promotional texts, what comes out is usually very cheesy sounding advertising, which is how many EN versions of Italian sites and adverts sound. Let yourself go and try a few versions. You know what they mean. Put it into English that gives the right idea without thinking you need to follow the wording to the letter. I have no doubt you will come up with some top notch phrases. Then choose the ones that work the best in context. It's much better for EN speakers to read an advert written in English than something pasted together trying to stick to an original that can be modified with no negative consequences, except for an ornery client. That is another issue.

that is almost completely transparent

a literal translation might be 'bordering on (complete transparency)' for sfiora il limite but personally I'd forget that and just say that is almost completely transparent
