Spanish to English Bus/Financial Accounting Taxes and similar
SPAIN (although the original string may be from Italy). I only know the word "plafond" as French for "ceiling". The term appears in an e-billing software string:


"N3.6 - No imponible - otras operaciones que no contribuyen a la formación del plafond administrativo"

Rather than just a translation, an explanation of the concept would be nice. I suppose in "normal" Spanish it would be something like "tope administrativo", which I know is a thing, but I don't know its definition.

PS FWIW, the darn thing has cropped up again in this string: "Autofactura por superación del plafond administrativo", but this time I think I'll call it "budget cap", as that is what seems to be referring to. (Eyeroll)...

Thanks to everyone I asked a contact in the client company, and they had never heard of the expression either. I suspect these strings have been translated from French; I also find the rest of the string rather clunky (que no contribuyen a la formación del). In the end, I decided to just go with "administrative ceiling". It can always be tweaked at some point in the future if necessary. Thanks to everyone for the comments.

@phil Thanks for that. I can't actually see "budget" anywhere in the link, but at least it makes sense. I'm doing something else now, I'll get back to this tomorrow.

Managerial accounting

Although plafond means ceiling but in this context, ceiling is inappropriate and if accounting domain is considered, it could mean managerial, does it making any sense?
