Dutch term

opklopbaar

Dutch to English Marketing Food & Drink
Hello!

I need some help with the translation of "opklopbaar" into English. Context is the description of a vegan cream for cooking.

Dit vegane room is niet opklopbaar.

Does anyone know the English term?

Thank you very much in advance!

whippable

neutral Tina Vonhof (X) : In your links it is used as an adjective but in this context Phil's suggestion is better.

whippable

de room is niet opklopbaar >> the cream is not whippable / the cream cannot be whipped
OR
een niet-opklopbare room >> a non-whippable cream

Perfect to use in pasta dishes, soups, sauces and to complement your desserts.

This product is not whippable.

My experience is that if it isn't pointed out on the packaging specifically, you can't whip the cream. Most non-whippable creams will even specify that they are indeed non-whippable.

Heavy cream in a recipe doesn’t mean it is the end for you, vegan chef. These replacements cover sweet and savoury, whippable and non-whippable.
