Hello everybody,
I'm not sure what would be the best way to translate the term 'regimen'. My understanding is that it'd be better to avoid a literal translation.
Let me know what you think.
Context:
This is an ongoing, multi-center, single-arm, global, Phase 2 study to determine the efficacy and safety of durvalumab (MEDI4736) monotherapy for patients with recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) with tumoral programmed cell death ligand-1 (PD-L1) high expression who had progressed during or after treatment with only 1 systemic palliative regimen for recurrent or metastatic disease that must have contained a platinum agent.

At first, I thought "only 1" referred to just one course/cycle of treatment, but now I realise that the 1 refers to the combination of drugs.

I'd say the systemic palliative regimen here is just but one precondition to enter the study -and so prior to treatment with (only) durvalumab. But yeah, these long phrasings are always a pain to read no matter what.

I don't understand that part.
You'll have to look later in the document, where it describes this "regimen" in detail you'll probably find your answer, but I think it refers to "a course of treatment" > un curso de tratamiento paliativo sistémico.
