Discussion

Daryo Dec 21, 2020:
Points of method "The reconciliation report was issued in violation of the legislative requirements."

exactly that text can be found in about 23 various glossaries / dictionaries all over the Internet

https://www.google.com/search?q="The+reconciliation+report+w...

NONE of these is the original text from which this fragment was extracted, so we can only guess / assume what kind of "conciliation" the whole original text was about.

As far as I understand what is context, there is NONE regarding this fragment - we don't know if this "reconciliation" was about settling some dispute or about "reconciliation of accounts". So whatever translation was given in various glossaries, we can only guess / assume that it fits or not this specific ST where "reconciliation" is NOT even about "reconciliation of accounts" but only similar to it.

BTW, if the meaning of "reconciliation" as used in this text was so "obvious", the question wouldn't have been asked at all. Unless if by "obvious" you mean that you can find at least one meaning in some dictionary ... without worrying too much if it fits or not.

Daryo Dec 19, 2020:
Might or might not be
translated from Russian, but there is no need to presume that there is any kind of "creative" translation involved.

"the Parties must fulfil all obligations under the Agreement" is a pretty strong clue as to what "Reconciliation" ought to mean.

Извештај / Записник о извршеним обавезама

As there are no mentions of any "reconciliation procedure" in the sense of agreeing a solution regarding some dispute related to the contract, the only meaning of "reconciliation" that would make sense is the one in "reconciliation" as used in accounting, which basically means matching payments to invoices, to make sure all invoices have been paid or in other words there are no more "pending obligations".

In short, this "Reconciliation report" would confirm that parties do not owe anything to one another, that ALL mutual contractual obligations have been fulfilled - no future disputes of any kind are no longer possible.

CL5 about the meaning, can be formulated in many ways.

Reconciliation (in accounting) = сравнити примљене уплате и фактуре

so by a rather obvious analogy:

Reconciliation (at the end of a contract) = "свравнити" извршење уговора и уговорне обавезе

neutral Daryo : translations of these completely "context free" fragments (**fragments** that are repeated all over from one glossary to another) do not prove really anything - no indication whatsoever of context so about as reliable as taking lucky pot shots!

Није: completely "context free" – дата је реченица и у њој је и први предложени термин, а није ни: repeated all over from one glossary to another – преводи су различити.
