Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general)
Hi all. Could someone please confirm whether these Roman numerals are a volume number for the Semanario Judicial (Mexico)?
For a moment I thought it could be a date, but 30 days hath September, etc.
Thanks in advance. I don'tusually do legal docs, but something came up.

Discussion

Taña Dalglish Aug 25, 2021:
@ Philgoddard Your remark: There's a comma after XXXI, so it can't be a date. And while Taña's first link doesn't work for me, there's no inconsistency in the two different months. "Volume" often means "year"."
Let us try the link again shall we? Look at page 5. You are wrong! It is "Tomo XXXXI". which is distinct from the date of publication. http://sistemabibliotecario.scjn.gob.mx/sisbib/CST/SJFG_2010... The fact that it is rolled into one, you need the comma separation. Further, there are similar links which you can search for (not just the one I posted). Earlier I did comment that it was May, but I am confusing myself. Apolgoies to all.
Taña Dalglish Aug 25, 2021:
@ Jennifer Why do you say that? It is the correct place to post your query, and well within the purview of this forum! Regards and stay safe.
Jennifer McNeel (asker) Aug 25, 2021:
This is probably not the right place to post, but thank you, Taña.

@ Jennifer http://sistemabibliotecario.scjn.gob.mx/sisbib/CST/SJFG_2010...
And the date here is May 2010 and not April 2010 (you may wish to point out that there is an inconsistency in your text regarding the month of publication, which is certainly what I would do).
David Hollywood Aug 24, 2021:
agree with Taña

probably means "volume 31"

Usually "tomo" is translated as "Volume".

I would suggest

--------------------------------------------------
Note added at 7 hrs (2021-08-24 02:55:12 GMT)
--------------------------------------------------

could also refer to both the meeting and the report so "ojo"

--------------------------------------------------
Note added at 7 hrs (2021-08-24 02:56:14 GMT)
--------------------------------------------------

but XXX1 in Roman numerals = 31

--------------------------------------------------
Note added at 7 hrs (2021-08-24 02:57:17 GMT)
--------------------------------------------------

and "toma" = "volume" for sure
Peer comment(s):

agree AllegroTrans : Taña thinks there is an error and it should read "May" so asker needs to check
