this is in the context of perstaltic pumps:

: I don't think it means 'plus' in the FR sense — remember, we don't use it in EN with that sense of 'greater'; in a pump context, it's more likely to mean "positive pressure"

Assuming that there is any indication in the ST as to in relation to what this pressure would be "additional", and that there is somewhere a numerical value for this "+ pressure".
However, I confess I don't quite see how that fits within your context as given here...
