: questa è la definizione di un tipo di taglio (semplice = simple shear) vedi la discussione), non credo che sia opportuno essere così specifici se il testo sorgente non lo è - attento, quello che scrivi tu è la definizione di taglio semplice(simple shear)

Ma se tu hai detto "due corpi sollecitati in direzioni opposte" è proprio quello che ho detto io, quindi non capisco il tuo disaccordo. Shear non può essere tradotto solo come taglio e basta. Bisogna essere specifici

Prova a cercare "resistenza a sollecitazioni meccaniche in direzioni opposte" e vedi tu quanto è usato...
Taglio è comprensibilissimo e usatissimo in ambito tecnico, anche in documenti molto specifici e con registro alto.
