Medical (general)
inpatient progress report - treatment plan
This is from a report on a patient with respiratory problems, urinary tract infection uncontrolled by antibiotics, possible Covid infection, acute kidney infection, congestive heart failure ... the presenting problem was described as "dyspnea".
I don't know what "laboratorios de estraficación" are ... I don't understand what they are for and what they measure. Can I just translate this as "stratification tests"?
The sentence from which this comes says: Plan de seguimiento: VE01, PCR urgente, GA FIO2 21%, laboratorios de estratificación, examen general de orina + urocultivo ... etc.
Thanks again for your help.

stratification analyses
I think this is referring to the classification of the patient according to the presence of what are called biomarkers and other biological data that reveal his risk group/symptomatic severity.
This is done using a technique of "stratification", which is a kind of data analysis in the field of epidemiology.
Here's a definition of the target-text translation in English: "Stratification is defined as the act of sorting data, people, and objects into distinct groups or layers. It is a technique used in combination with other data analysis tools. When data from a variety of sources or categories have been lumped together, the meaning of the data can be difficult to see"
Also this: "Stratification analyses have been widely utilized in molecular association meta-analyses to estimate the interaction between genetic and environmental factors or to control for the confounding variables linked to a disease."

Comment: "Hi again. I still don't completely understand this concept in connection with lab tests, but ... this is still the most likely suggestion! Thanks again for taking the time to present your answer."

Discussion
Could it be a mistake for "estadificación"? Staging tests/scores? (again would one expect a suspected diagnosis or indication of cancer or some other disease that is staged, CKD, liver disease, etc.)
