ohne spürbaren Verzicht

With the purchase of a second-hand machine, we offer you the opportunity to put less strain on the world's resources without noticeable sacrifice.??

Folder a company selling used and new dressing machines.

THANKS A LOT!

Discussion

Johannes Gleim Feb 10, 2023:

without sacrificing performance

I think the English just needs a specification of what is being sacrificed. Since it is a machine I think performance is a good choice.

Lebrun demonstrates how this same logic holds also for language: 'State and language are two complementary figures of the Subject's accomplishment: here as well as there, the sense that I am and the sense that I enounce are submitted to the same imperceptible sacrifice of what appeared to be our 'self' in the illusion of immediacy'.5

The sinking fund principle first came into prominence in the latter part of the eighteenth century, when it was advocated and applied by William Pitt as the best and easiest means of providing for the repayment of the United Kingdom's huge national debt. It was heralded by many people at the beginning as a remarkable method of repaying the loan without any perceptible sacrifice.
