Spanish term

objeto de pericia

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) Auditor's report

Many thanks for any clarification or thoughts.

Discussion

Comunican (asker) May 9, 2023:
@AllegroTrans It is the auditing firm itself that produced the report.
Many thanks.
AllegroTrans May 9, 2023:
Re (per Phil): "you don't need to repeat "expert" as three of the answers do"; well you may have to, depending on the answer to my query to the Asker
philgoddard May 9, 2023:
I agree Also, you don't need to repeat "expert" as three of the answers do.
AllegroTrans May 9, 2023:
Asker This statement (I presume by the auditors) mentions "objeto de pericia", presumably alluding to an expert report. Was this "expert report" that of the auditors themselves, or separate expert(s)? I think this needs to be clear first.

In this case, it means that the thing described is what the experts have considered or examined.
Note from asker:
Thank you, that is also how I understand it but I couldn't think of a suitable phrasing like yours!

subject to expert evaluation

In legal matters "Expert evaluation means a written assessment prepared by a professional with specialized knowledge of a particular subject matter such as physical health, psychological health, mental health, sexual deviancy, substance abuse, and domestic violence."
The meaning is the same in other areas such as forensic medicine, audit, etc.

disagree AllegroTrans : "Subject to" is suggesting something conditional, which isn't the case here; it's more along the lines of "the subject of"
