The invention relates to a stepper motor with a housing, in which a
cylindrical rotor fixed on a central shaft can rotate but not translate along
an axial direction.

According to the invention the rotor is fixed on the central shaft, so that
it cannot translate along an axial direction with cylindrical translators on both axial
sides of the rotor, where the translators are sealed fit in a cylindrical space within the
housing and around the central shaft and where the translators can only translate in
an axial direction, where in one axial position of a translator a set of triangular
asymmetric teeth located on the translator can interact and fit into a set of triangular
asymmetric teeth on the rotor,

One of the sets of teeth 20, 21 between one of the translators 9 (14) and the rotor 11 (15) and a set of teeth 20, 21 between the other translator 9 (14) and the rotor 11 (15) are tangentially shifted (offset) over a length equal to half the width of a tooth 20, 21.

Rather this Those in the description are clearly components that engage on either side of the motor rotor. The three of them, rotor and two "translators" are encased in a cylindrical housing, with the rotor fixed on the shaft and the "translators" free to move up an and down the housing, but sealed in it, to engage and disengage the teeth on the rotor. Now, nothing to with translation in the sense transposing something from one form to another (as in our job) but simply a translational movement. Hence "traducter" doesn't seem to be at all a good, ahem, translation. My impression is the inventor just used the term drawing upon the simple fact that the pieces slide with a rigid movement along one axis, hence their "translation" in the sense of movement.

L'A3982 est un pilote de moteur pas à pas complet avec traducteur intégré pour une utilisation facile. Il est conçu pour faire fonctionner des moteurs pas à pas bipolaires en modes pas complet et demi-pas, avec une capacité d'entraînement de sortie allant jusqu'à 35 V et ± 2 A. L'A3982 comprend un régulateur de courant à temps d'arrêt fixe qui a la capacité de fonctionner en mode lent. ou modes de désintégration mixtes.

Le traducteur est la clé de la mise en œuvre facile de l'A3982. La simple saisie d'une impulsion sur l'entrée STEP entraîne le moteur d'un pas. Il n'y a pas de tables de séquence de phase, de lignes de commande à haute fréquence ou d'interfaces complexes à programmer. L'interface A3982 est idéale pour les applications où un microprocesseur complexe n'est pas disponible ou est surchargé.

La commande de hachage du A3982 sélectionne automatiquement le mode de décroissance actuel (lent ou mixte). Lorsqu'un signal se produit à la broche d'entrée STEP, l'A3982 détermine si cette étape entraîne un courant supérieur ou inférieur dans chacune des phases du moteur. Si le changement est vers un courant plus élevé, alors le mode de décroissance est réglé sur Décroissance lente. Si le changement est vers un courant plus faible, alors la décroissance du courant est réglée sur Mixte (réglée initialement sur une décroissance rapide pendant une période équivalant à 31,25 % du temps d'arrêt fixe, puis sur une décroissance lente pendant le reste du temps d'arrêt). temps). Ce schéma de contrôle de la décroissance du courant entraîne une réduction du bruit audible du moteur, une précision accrue des pas et une dissipation de puissance réduite.

disagree FPC : I don't see where you got the French version, but most of all what you're quoting is the description of a chip containing a translator in the sense of an electronic device to translate signals, NOT a part moving with translational motion as in the ST

la difficulté avec translateur (https://context.reverso.net/traduction/francais-anglais/tran... est qu'il est aussi synonyme de traducteur , dans plusieurs sens, et enfin tous ces mot ont un fond sémantique (une étymologie) commun, mais il me parait que pièce/part à mouvement linéaire soit la description et faute de meilleur terme on peut s'accommoder à "translateur" (voir site en lien où translateur indique justement un petit moteur à déplacement linéaire) https://images.cnrs.fr/photo/20030001_1427
