We are satisfied that you are eligible for assistance and that you are homeless in accordance with the law. This means that you are now owed the 'relief duty'. This means we must take reasonable steps to help you secure that you have suitable accommodation available to you for at least 6 months.

This duty will end if we are satisfied that you have suitable accommodation available to you for at least 6 months.
There are a number of other circumstances where our duty to you might end. If our duty to help you resolve your homelessness ends we will notify you in writing, stating the reason why it has ended.

This is your housing assessment and plan, explaining the type of housing we have agreed is suitable and the steps that you and Portsmouth City Council will take to help achieve the above aim.
