Discussion

Oliver Simões (asker) Feb 14:
Different concepts "Physical separation is simply the act of moving into separate bedrooms or residences. It can be done privately, without any court or legal involvement, and is merely an informal arrangement between the spouses. " (Kathryn Grigg, Axley Attorneys). https://www.axley.com/publication_article/separate-not-equal...

"O que é a separação de corpos e qual sua importância?
É uma espécie de atestado que autoriza o marido a deixar de viver com a mulher sob o mesmo teto. Ou vice-versa. O alvará de separação de corpos, concedido pelo juiz, só será necessário quando houver o interesse de regularizar a separação de fato dos cônjuges, liberando-os do dever de coabitação, isto é, de viver sob o mesmo teto. Serve também, em princípio, para fixar a data do término do regime de bens e outros prazos importantes." (JusBrasil). https://www.tjrr.jus.br/index.php/alvara-separacao-corpos
Oliver Simões (asker) Feb 11:
separação de corpos "The Gunners manager and Annie got a judge to issue a 'separation of bodies' judgement in June. It means they are free to see other people - but it's not a full divorce" (emphasis added). https://www.newyorkfamilylawblog.com/361/

How to put "separation of bodies" and "de facto separation" together? Apparently, de facto may be placed before or after the noun it qualifies: "Importantly, de facto parties need to be aware that, whilst there is no time limit on how soon after separation de facto, parties can apply for property splitting orders, if an application for property splitting orders has not been made before the expiration of two years of the date of separation, de facto parties are precluded from bringing an application, without the leave of the Court." https://n9.cl/uerh3

Zero Google Search results for:
de facto and physical separation: https://n9.cl/n86ho
de facto separation and separation of bodies: https://n9.cl/igm2w

In this case, I'll probably reverse the word order and go with "separation of bodies and de facto separation": (2 results) https://n9.cl/oa81w

agree philgoddard : You don't need to say 'in living arrangements', and you could leave out 'and'.
