I\'d like to add to my answer some more hints: I think the term \"limitanti contrapposte\" should be better understood as the \"margini dei corpi contrapposti delle vertebre adiacenti che delimitano il disco vertebrale\", that is \"the margins of opposed surfaces of adjacent vertebral bodies\". So, I would propose this translation to you: \"degenerative-arthrotic type alterations affect the margins of opposed surfaces of adjacent vertebral bodies\".
