: polYchrome vs. polYchromatic "Poli" is a spelling error. It is obvious! The statistics will not tell whether the translation is correct or not. You said that 726 polichromes were found in Google. But there is a spelling error in "polichrome".

ok, probably a typo in my dictionary. Anyway, the statistics is for "polychrome" See my added note above + However strange, it's the real statistics which my Google shows. But I don't argue: it should be "polY", you're right
