Thanks Patrick - I didn't mean to be nasty, I genuinely thought it was straightforward. Then again, sometimes it's hard to distinguish "normal" use of a word from a specific "specialised" meaning in a certain field.

I think that this might refer to program testing.(contest or other)
However, I have seen some translations from Chinese to English that seem to mean filtrer. More context would be very helpful.
