Basic SOA Components
These are the components that make up SOA:

Service provider: The service provider creates a service and in some cases publishes its interface and access information to a service registry.
Examples of services for service providers:

Airline, car rental agency, hotel chain
Mortgage specialist, investment banks
Office supply company
Service consumer: The service consumer locates (discovers) entries in the service registry and then binds to the service provider to invoke the defined service.
Examples of services for service consumer:

Travel agent
