Computer run Normally when a computer program is executed it 'runs', but there is another meaning to the word 'run' in the IT world. With systems where information is updated on a regular basis, and this information does not go live immediately after it is entered (e.g. to allow another person to verify correctness or to authorise the transaction) there is normally a set period (once a day or once a week) when this information is 'accepted' by the system, after which it goes live. When such a batch of information is processed that process is referred to as a run (noun), and I think this is what they refer to in this instance. I am not sure what the Dutch equivalent of this term is, but I hope this explanation sets you on your way
