I see - so what would the "technical" bit refer to? I'm not sure either - hence the "3" but it seemed tobe the nearest equivalent I could think of. Happy Easter ! :-)

Just in order to be able to answer Philippe's question more fully:
When I was an 'APT&C', it meant really sort of 'white-collar' employees: accounts dept., filing clerks, typists, receptionists, and 'technical' means things like lab technicians, skilled technical staff, etc., but specifically EXCLUDING 'blue-collar' workers (= people who get their hands dirty!)
So it's (if you like) below executives, but above manual workers --- I don't mean that to sound pejorative to anyone, just to explain in terms of 'stereotypes' :-)
