Ceramic surface can generate extremely thin liquid film. Turbulent liquid flow and tortuous vapor flow passages promote mixing of liquid and vapor with a low pressure drop. These are reasons that our ceramic structured packings have the same mass transfer efficiency as metal packings. Meanwhile, they are much more resistant to corrosion and high temperature than metal packings.

The surface structure of ceramic packing can promote its wetting and help maintain liquid hold-up at a minimum. Thus, chance for the system to be overheated, polymerized and coked can be minimized.

insi, on emploi des systèmes de régénération, c´est à dire, des systèmes ou l´air chaud traverse une masse céramique avec un surface de filtration très élevée. Cette masse céramique récupère de la chaleur libérée après de manière séquentielle quand l´air froid passe à travers la masse céramique. Air chaud et air froid traversent par séquences le même conduit à contre-courant, à travers la même masse céramique. Quand l´air chaud sortant de la chambre d´oxydation, traverse la masse céramique, celle-ci est chauffée. Plus tard, par un système de vannes, l´air froid traverse cette masse céramique chaude. Ainsi l´air froid qui se dirige a la chambre d´oxydation est réchauffé.
