No está bien redactado el término de la pregunta. Están hablando de un suero polivalente (contiene anticuerpos contra varios antígenos). En el texto se lee, primero:

= El suero polivalente (n.º) 2 contra/frente a Shigella boydii, es una solución de anticuerpos obtenidos....
Y después:

-que por cierto, como tus otras preguntas, sigue siendo poco preciso, no es nativo. Estoy seguro que las instrucciones de estos kits están traducidas de otro idioma. Pero se puede decir:
"Este producto complementa la identificación de serotipos mediante el suero polivalente (n.º) 2".
"El suero se usa para identificar los serotipos 8, 9, y 10".

El "2" de "polyvalent 2" es una notación que usa el fabricante, por eso debería traducirse como "suero polivalente número/n.º 2", ya que es la forma en la que llaman ellos a su reactivo, no es algo oficial.
