Espero que puedan ayudarme con la siguiente expresión al español: “anti-human IgG and/or anti-human IgM reagent”, relacionada con una prueba de inmunoensayo para la detección de chinkungunya. Muchas gracias:
“If an appropriate volume of test specimen is dispensed into the well of the cassette the specimen migrates by capillary action across the cassette. The IgG and/or IgM antibodies to CHIK, if present in the specimen, bind to the CHIK conjugates. The immunocomplex is captured on the membrane by the pre-coated with anti-human IgG and/or anti-human IgM reagent forming a burgundy colored IgG and/or IgM line(s), indicating a CHIK IgG and/or IgM positive test result.”

: Diría que precoated with X reagent se leería más bien como recubierta previamente con el reactivo X. Y creo que serían en todo caso anticuerpos (reactivos) anti-IgG y/o anti-IgM humanas // Pues sí que estoy espeso! ¡Ahí va mi agree por el reactivo recub.!

El problema es que dice "by the precoated with X reagent" lo cual sería "por el reactivo recubierto previamente con X". La clave está en el "by". Esa sola palabra le cambia toda la dirección a la frase. Lo otro pues sí queda como a discreción de cada uno.

Discussion
No existen los "reactivos pre-recubiertos" sino membranas (u otros soportes físicos) recubiertos con antígeno o anticuerpo (u otro tipo de inmunocomplejo o sustancia), en los ensayos de este tipo.
En realidad debería leerse "captured on the membrane pre-coated with anti-human IgG and/or anti-human IgM reagent forming a burgundy colored....".
