Discussion

José Manuel Miana Nov 22, 2020:
I would advise not to translate the name of the institutions, and clarify them in brackets, as Agustina says.
Víctor Zamorano Nov 20, 2020:
I'd say it depends also of the target audience; would they understand the untranslated term? Do they care about it? It's important for the text? Are readers going to need the name to, e. g., serach for the institution website? Is a scholar text, are there espace constraints?
Agustina Britos Nov 20, 2020:
I agree. Sometimes it's better to leave it as it is and provide an explanation/translation between brackets.
Taña Dalglish Nov 20, 2020:
@ Brigido Galvan I believe the language pair should be reversed? English to Spanish, isn't it? Translation of institutions depend to an extent if an acceptable translation exists!

Depending from which is the name of the institution

Do not translate them

I would not translate any name to another language. Instead, it would be better to put into brackets the meaning of the name.
