En un manual de un dispositivo de climatización:
When the device has been set to control humidity according to the humidity heat principle, it will reduce a too high humidity level by gradually increasing the heat supply. The increased heat supply will make the inside temperature rise. In order to maintain the temperature, the ventilation system will gradually increase ventilation.
Me imagino que se refiere a la relación que existe entre la humedad y la temperatura, pero no sé de ningún "principio" conocido como de "humedad-calor", al menos en castellano.

You could use "la relación entre", you don't have to say what this relationship is, nor goes as far as to classify it as a "principle" (the only thing I could find concerning "heat-humidity" and "principle" was related to the spread of disease).
