This belongs to the introduction done by a speaker just before the MC5 start the first song of their set (it can be heard here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONGBe0QLj_M). How could “testify” be translated in the context of a kind of revolutionary rock and roll 60’s concert? “dar testimonio” or “ser testigos” could be an option, but I’m not sure. Did “testify” have a different meaning in the USA in the 60's?

No creo que haya ninguna razón para elegir un término u otro. Testify quiere decir testimoniar, pero no queda bien en el contexto. Tampoco usaría prestar testimonio porque de inmediato se usa la palabra en el texto.

Según el Cambridge Dictionary, testify también es "to give or provide evidence", no necesaramiente en entorno jurídico sino en general, o sea "demostrar". Yo aquí diría algo así: (...) ya es hora de demostrarlo, (...) ¿estáis dispuestos a/preparados para demostrarlo?... algo así. Pero "demostrar" me parece que encaja bien en el contexto. ¡Suerte!

No me acaba de convencer la traducción literal en este contexto rockero de los 60.
Diría "dar la cara" en la segunda acepción del DLE:
dar la cara
2. loc. verb. Adoptar una actitud comprometida y valiente, mientras otros se inhiben.

Creo que esta expresión encaja bien con la forma y el fondo del discurso y transmite la fuerza del original:
"...es hora de dar la cara, y quiero saber, ¿estáis dispuestos a dar la cara?"
