The stability of the load on the pallet is important. The combined “load + pallet” is subject to vibration and movement as it is conveyed through the system. Ideally loads will be shrink-wrapped or banded in preference to lose stacking. There should not be any loose wrapping or banding on the bottom of the pallet. Interlocking of individual items is better than an un-structured placement.
