It sounds very good
There's absolutely nothing wrong with this phrase. It's idiomatic and correct. Go with it. I've had many years of contracting experience.

To enter into negotiations is just more formal than to negotiate. It has nothing to do with whether or not one is more idiomatic than the other. Both are commonly used expressions in English.
