English term

volume

English Medical Medical: Pharmaceuticals
"ABC uses intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) to study the effects of statin treatment on the regression of coronary artery atheroma volume."

Does 'volume' here refer to size, amount, or something else?

Thanks.
